This project is very far from completion. The idea comes from our interest in aluminum foundry work. The machine shop being necessisary to make any product beyond the most simple castings. We are currently researching methods for making our own metal shop tools, but time and money constraints, and other projects are currently delaying this project.

Our ideal metal shop contains a bandsaw, lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder. The lathe and milling machine we desire to have a CNC interface, which should not be too difficult, considering our knowledge of electronics and computers, we can assuredly rig up something.
